Do drivers get upset having monitoring devices installed in their vehicles?
We find that when introduced correctly, drivers are receptive and often supportive of GPS-based asset tracking. The key is to be honest and open with your goals for the system and be genuine in dealing with concerns and answering questions your drivers may have. Once drivers understand the benefits such as reduced insurance rates, emergency support for the driver, and enhanced dispatch assistance along with the other benefits, they tend to be accepting. If incorrectly implemented without discussion and sneakily installed in their vehicles without their awareness, you will find drivers are less receptive and question the intentions of the monitors.
